How To Load and Unload Washers?

Loading and unloading washers can seem like a simple task, but there are a few things you can do to make the process even easier. First, always separate your laundry by colour and fabric type. This will ensure that your clothes are washed properly and don’t get damaged.

When it comes to loading the washer, make sure not to overload it. Overloading can cause your clothes to not be cleaned properly and can even damage your washer. It’s better to do multiple smaller loads than one big load.

Next, be sure to add the right amount of detergent for your load size. Too little detergent can result in clothes that aren’t fully cleaned, while too much can leave residue on your clothes.

When it’s time to unload the washer, remove your clothes as soon as possible to prevent wrinkles. Shake out each item before placing it in the dryer or hanging it up to dry.

By following these simple tips, you can ensure that your laundry is always clean and well taken care of.

Prepare loads of laundry:

• The weight of each laundry can change as per the property and linen quality.
•  Use a weighing scale to weigh the solid linen batch.
•  Always load the washer with the correct capacity, Do not overload or underload the machines.

Organize the laundry activity:

• Always follow the laundry production log to determine the order in which the washing has to be done.
•  Record the loads you wash on the log.

•  If you have multiple washers then start each washer in at least a time difference of 5 to 10 minutes which will help in the below process.

Special things to notice while washing:

• Wash new linens with colour separately the first few times, There is a chance of dyeing other fabrics if this is not done.
•  To avoid fading of dark-coloured linens wash them at a lower temperature.
•  Wash uniforms in cold water to prevent fading of darker colours onto lighter colours.
•  Do not use chlorine/bleach on coloured linens/clothes.
•  If the clothes/uniforms have delicate embroideries, decorative buttons, strings, etc., wash them inside nylon mesh bags to prevent damage and avoid tangling.
•  Never overload or underload the washers.
